I would like to have a plan.
I would like to know how much longer dh has his job.
I would like to know when my stupid neck and arm will feel better (if ever).
I would like to know if I can make plans for holidays, home improvements or if I will need that money to pay day to day bills.
My savings are NOT burning a hole in my pocket but I would like a clue of what direction to take.
I feel like I've been put on hold for almost a year. Although I'm still making progress with savings and I'm making progress with my back injury so any movement forward is still progress for the good.
I've been thinking a bit about going back to school. Redonculous! I'm 43! I have 3 kids! But hear me out...
2 more years of University would put me at $120,000 a year. I could get a more brains less brawn job.
Something to ponder as I get the acupuncture needles stuck in my back and try to get the feeling back in my hand.....
I can ride the bus to school with my 18 year old! Oh he'd love it!!! *snort*
Education could be my ticket again to making my situation better.
The Good Things...
4 Wheel drive in a foot of snow
A dh that shovels the drive again, and again and again
Healthy kids
Things That Suck
a foot of snow
my extended family

I remember driving the oldest to the University and thinking I need to go back and get a Maters then I remembered I would have to show up and I would have to study. Oh my changed my mind immediately! :)
2 years are going to go buy no matter what so I say go for it! And as someone who is going back for their nursing degree at 44 believe me you can do it
just do it! I went to uni for the first time when I was nearly 40 after being injured and unable to work in my original and much loved career - it was the best thing I ever did! it's really not that uncommon these days
Remember, it is never too late to go for the things you want in life. Also, I think you will be able to know all the things you’re just wondering about now if you put your head in the game and stay focused. :) By the way, what happened to your neck and arm? Have you already consulted a specialist? I hope you do before it worsens.

Thanks Gwen,
All of the things that I'm wondering about now are out of my control, which drives a control freak crazy.
My husband is being laid off from his job, he's received notice, but he doesn't know when it's effective. Hopefully he finds out tomorrow when the director comes to visit.
My back and neck injury was sustained at work. I have had a complete round of testing. X-rays, MRI, nerve conduction studies. A neurosurgeon, two general practitioners, a chiropractor, three physiotherapists an occupational therapist and a massage therapist. (And a partridge in a pear tree) All involved in my treatment.
I'm not a good candidate for surgery because of where the injury is, so it is a long and slow rehab process.
Frustrating!
